My Energized Journey…
Finding meaning and the source of my energy.
The world didn’t make much sense to me when I was young. It wasn’t until the final interview of my first full time job out of business school that I found a sense of meaning, energy, and focus. I was being interviewed (intensely) by the senior leader when he finally he asked me: “Mike, why do you want to go into business?”. I looked him right in the eye and said, “because I want to understand how it works so I can change it!” In that moment it all clicked!
Trusting my innate wisdom.
I knew I had to experience as many organizations and roles as I could to really appreciate how the business world embraced strategy, leadership, and culture. I was shocked at the lack of meaningful focus and subsequent distractions that needlessly wasted precious resources and people’s energy against aspects that didn’t create meaningful value.
Igniting my energy and passion for a better future.
Then 20 years ago, I said “I’m done with the old prevailing ways of working!” and fortuitously I met my business partner and co-founded Pursuit Development Labs Inc. where we defined a core curious challenge for ourselves of: “how do people have enough awareness of themselves to create a work and life of meaning, joy, and valuable impact?”. We then set out to create 100% original frameworks, concepts, and tools for people to unleash their meaningful work and lives through our work with individuals, team leaders, and organizational leaders ever since. Today we have certified over 35 coaches with our Pursuit frameworks, concepts and tools.
Expanding my experience to make a better future tangible and practical.
Over this intensive period… I’ve generated an abundance of experience working with people/teams/organizations; I’ve been an observer of those I truly admire as they apply their expertise; I’ve done an unprecedented amount of personal work and discovery; and coached & guided countless people… all combined to create my authentic offering, along with the support of my community network, as I support people to uncover their innate cause and energize their creative contribution as individual leaders, team leaders, or organizational leaders to co-create a valuable impact.
